In 2016 the East End Chamber of Commerce Foundation awarded about $48,000 in Scholarships to East End High School Seniors seeking 2 or 4-year degrees. The Foundation is committed to supporting the educational needs of area students and has awarded over $248,000 in scholarships the last seven years.
East End Scholars are students who are seeking a bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or a two-year certification, and have demonstrated leadership, academic excellence and community stewardship. The Scholars program will consist of career guidance and networking opportunities. Scholars are required to be full-time students at a college or university, maintain a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. and to stay involved in the East End Scholars program. The awards will be given in 2 allotments, one in Fall semester and one in Spring semester.
